Reduce the earthworks cost on a project that had already commencedProject Description
Construction on this site had commenced and the original design had set a floor level on the building, which meant that large volumes of excavation was required, with the spoil to be removed from the site costing 100’s of thousands of dollars.
The client was revising costings for the project and wanted us see if there was a way to reduce the earthworks cost on the project.
Our mission was to optimise the earthworks without impacting on the design and construction of the foundation, and to do so quickly so as not to delay construction.
Using our terrain modelling software we revised and adjusted the earthworks and floor levels on the site, and were able to both contain material on the site and save the client several $100,000’s of dollars in unnecessary earthworks cost.
